Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer and a .NET developer to join our team and drive the development of interactive, data-driven reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, report development, and a passion for delivering actionable business insights. As a Power BI Developer, you will work closely with business users to understand their reporting requirements and design effective BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Power BI Report Development: Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements, ensuring data accuracy and visual appeal.
· Data Integration: Work with data from multiple sources (databases, spreadsheets, APIs, etc.) and integrate them into Power BI for analysis and reporting.
· Data Modeling: Build and maintain data models using Power BI’s Power Query and DAX, ensuring efficiency and scalability in the reports.
· Collaboration with Stakeholders: Gather and document reporting and dashboard requirements from business stakeholders, translating them into technical specifications.
· Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI reports for speed and usability, ensuring efficient data refreshes and minimal load times.
· Data Transformation and ETL: Use Power Query and other ETL tools to clean, transform, and model raw data for reporting purposes.
· Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with reports, datasets, and data sources to maintain high-quality reporting solutions.
· Documentation & Training: Prepare documentation for developed reports and provide training to end users on how to interact with reports and dashboards effectively.
· Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and trends, and continuously suggest improvements for existing reporting processes and tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, Power app developer
· Strong proficiency in Power BI, including report creation, DAX, Power Query, and data visualization.
· Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL, with experience querying and transforming large datasets.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in handling large, complex datasets.
· Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and architecture.
· Knowledge on Microsoft Excel Micros is desired
· Ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with cloud-based Power BI (Power BI Service) and Power BI Premium.
· Knowledge of data modeling concepts, such as star schema and snowflake schema.
· Statistical knowledge, awareness about Database connectivity
· Expert in Microsoft Excel for applying formulas, data analysis, applying Micros.
· Exposure to advanced Power BI features, such as Row-level security (RLS) and custom visuals.
· Familiarity with additional Microsoft tools such as Azure Data Lake, SQL Server, and Excel PowerPivot.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
· 2 to 5 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar data visualization or BI role.
