The Role

Position Type: Hybrid (1week/month onsite), Fulltime
Contract Length:  6+ Months
Location: The Power Platform Engineer shall be 100% allocated to this project and work in a hybrid capacity. The ideal candidate will be in the Harrisburg area throughout the contract term. The candidate must be available to report onsite one week per month.

Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Power Platform Engineer to join our team serving our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PowerApps, Power Pages, and Canvas app development, along with a solid understanding of Azure components. This role involves designing and developing user-friendly portals and applications that meet our client’s business needs.  These portals/applications will also leverage presentation frameworks such as Angular and/or React.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, develop, and thoroughly test self-service portals with the Power Pages system based on the user stories created as part of an Agile Backlog process.
  • Create Technical tasks for the delivery of the user stories as needed in Azure Dev Ops.
  • Create unit test cases and test scripts in Azure Dev Ops.
  • Collaborate with technical leads, project managers, team leads, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Work closely with, and be a member of, a team to implement solutions as defined.
  • Support definition of functional requirements as needed for integrating Power Pages and Dynamics 365 CE with Contact Center applications, self-service portals, ChatBOTs, SAP, and payment gateways, collaborating with the Function Lead.
  • Ensure seamless integration, best in class performance, and efficient data flow across systems.
  • Support the development of training programs for end-users to ensure effective use of Power Platform solutions.
  • Promote user adoption through effective change management and support.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to other team members to ensure complete understanding of the overall solution across the technical team.
  • Provide ongoing support and optimization for Power Pages and Dynamics 365 CE solutions.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance system functionality and user experience.
  • Configure Power Pages and Dynamics 365 CE applications to meet specific business requirements.
  • Work with technical teams to ensure customizations and integrations are aligned with functional needs and are in compliance of client’s standards and policies.
  • Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with technology staff, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients.
  • Lead and participate in project team activities for system work efforts related to enterprise systems.
  • Work independently to accomplish the tasks and duties assigned.
  • Adhere to and follow all client standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize various software and/or technology tools to perform job duties.
  • Perform tasks and other duties as assigned by the client.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in developing and configuring business applications within the Power Platform landscape, with 3+ years on hands on Power Pages self-service portal development experience.
  • Deep understanding of Power Pages and Dynamics 365 CE capabilities, including customization, configuration, and user management.
  • Hands on experience with custom Power Pages solutions including Liquid Templates.
  • 2+ years’ experience with web front end development with human centered design approach.
  • Strong knowledge of Contact Center applications (e.g., Telephony & IVR based solutions), self-service web portals, and native mobile applications.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of Dynamics 365 CE functionalities and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Familiarity with integrating Dynamics 365 CE with back-office systems (e.g., ERP) and payment gateways.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office 365 suite of business software including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus proficient in Microsoft ADO Testing Module.

  • ITIL / ITSM practices and methodologies.


Certifications / Education

  • This role should have the following certifications
    • Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (MB-910).
    • Microsoft Power Platform + Dynamics 365 Core (MB-200).
    • Power Platform App Maker Associate (PL-100).
    • Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600).

 

  • This role should have a familiarity with all and be working toward at least some of the following certifications:
    • MS Dynamics Fast Track recognized architect.
    • Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) recognized.
    • Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant Associate (MB-230).
    • Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or information systems.
    • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.
