The Senior Power Platform Developer will lead the design, development, and maintenance of solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, with a core focus on Power Apps and Power Automate. Working on-site at one of our New Orleans, Knoxville, or Boston locations, this position partners closely with business stakeholders and IT leadership to translate operational needs into scalable applications, efficient automated workflows, and clear supporting documentation — and provides technical mentorship to junior developers on the team.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or manufacturing environments and a strong background in business processes, ERP systems, SQL, and low-code application/automation platforms such as Power Apps and Power Automate.
Power Apps Development:
Lead the design, architecture, development, and maintenance of Power Apps applications that support enterprise operational and business process workflows.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, and IT) to gather requirements, shape solution design, and drive alignment on scalable app solutions.
Architect forms, workflows, and data connections within the Power Platform environment, establishing reusable patterns and development standards.
Own testing, debugging, and deployment strategy for Power Apps solutions, including release governance and environment management.
Apply application lifecycle management (ALM) best practices — including solution layering, managed/unmanaged solutions, and source control — to promote changes cleanly through development, test, and production environments.
Mentor junior developers and review their work to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
Author and maintain comprehensive documentation of application functionality, data flows, and configuration.
Power Automate & Process Automation:
Lead the design and development of Power Automate flows that automate manual, cross-functional business processes.
Architect scalable, reusable automation patterns and establish development standards for flows across the organization.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex flow errors, connector issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Integrate Power Automate flows with Power Apps, ERP systems, and other business applications to streamline end-to-end processes.
Apply consistent environment strategy and release practices when promoting flows across development, test, and production.
Data Structures & Documentation
Establish and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and process documentation standards for
applications and automated workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Developer, preferably in a CPG or manufacturing
environment.
3+ years of SQL experience with advanced data analysis and reporting skills.
D365 ERP or equivalent ERP experience.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Automate.
Strong working knowledge of true development-to-test-to-production pipelines and Power Platform ALM
best practices (solution layering, environment strategy, source control, and managed deployment).
Experience with Power Platform governance, environment strategy, or Center of Excellence practices.
Demonstrated experience leading projects and mentoring junior team members.
Extensive experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly sales and operations teams.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users and
senior stakeholders.
Willingness to work on-site at the New Orleans, Knoxville, or Boston location and travel up to 25% as
needed.
Extensive experience in a CPG or manufacturing company.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform solutions (e.g., Azure DevOps pipelines,
Power Platform Build Tools, or GitHub Actions).
Strong understanding of master data management and process automation.
Familiarity with data modeling concepts and relational databases.
Prior experience establishing development standards for a Power Platform team.
