Job Summary
The Power Plant Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining an executable maintenance schedule that enables safe, reliable, compliant, and efficient plant operations. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Leadership, the Scheduler balances priorities, available resources, and equipment availability to ensure maintenance work is ready to be completed when scheduled.Job Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Directly or through others, the incumbent will:
- Develop and maintain short- and medium-term maintenance schedules that balance operational priorities, workforce capacity, and equipment availability.
- Facilitate regular scheduling meetings to align maintenance activities across departments.
- Monitor scheduling performance and identify opportunities to improve schedule effectiveness, resource utilization, and work execution.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other digital tools to develop schedules, track work, and communicate priorities.
- Support planned outages (where necessary) and other major maintenance events through effective scheduling and coordination.
- Promote a culture of safety by ensuring maintenance activities are scheduled with appropriate operational and regulatory requirements in mind.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent + five or more years of industry related work experience.
- Experience in maintenance, operations, planning, scheduling, or a related role within power generation or another industrial environment required.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), such as Maximo (preferred) or similar software.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance planning and scheduling practices.
- Experience coordinating maintenance work across multiple disciplines.
- Experience using scheduling, reporting, or business intelligence tools.
