WIN Waste Innovations is looking for an Operations Manager who has the ability to manage all activities related to operations and development of the facility. They will be responsible for the safe, proper, and efficient operation and maintenance of the facility in accordance with company policies and standards, under the direction of the Plant Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate Maintenance activities to include but not be limited to installing, inspecting, testing, repairing, adjusting, and calibrating all plant equipment and instrumentation.
  • Plan and conduct major outages; implement and direct effective PM program, lubrication plans.
  • Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.

 

Education and Experience

  • Three years or more previous experience in comparable role in an administrative support or business support role is required.
  • Bachelor's or Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent desirable
  • Six years' experience in an incineration plant environment, with a minimum of five years in a supervisory role.
  • For all Massachusetts facility's, a 2nd Class Engineers license is required and the applicant must be able to demonstrate the skills, experience and knowledge to sit for a 1st Class Engineers license.

  • Ascend and descend stairs and stationary vertical ladders as part of normal work activity and emergency egress situations
  • Lift 50 lbs.
  • Move about all areas of the plant, including catwalks, deck grating, and uneven surfaces
  • Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, corrected or otherwise
  • Operate a 1.5-inch fire hose operating at 125 psi line pressure to the extent required to extinguish fire
  • Operate fire extinguishing equipment ranging from handheld extinguishers to 200 lb portable units
  • Access confined spaces and pressure vessels through standard 12" by 16" manways

 

PPE Required:

Work in areas under adverse conditions that may require the donning and use of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, the following with average fatigue:

  • Negative pressure respirator
  • Positive pressure respirator
  • Self-contained breathing apparatus (steel or composite bottle)
  • Hardhat
  • Approved safety shoes
  • Eye protection
  • Rubber suit and gloves
  • Chemical resistant suit
  • Heat resistant outerwear
  • Flame resistant outerwear
  • Approved hearing protection
  • Gloves
  • Safety harness

Pay Range

$170,000-$180,000

Skills Required

  • Six years' experience in an incineration plant environment with a minimum of five years in a supervisory role
  • Three years or more previous experience in a comparable administrative or business support role
  • 2nd Class Engineers license for Massachusetts facilities and ability to demonstrate skills to sit for 1st Class Engineers license
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent
  • Ability to perform physical demands (lift 50 lbs, climb heights, access confined spaces) and use required PPE
