We are currently seeking a Power Converter Engineer to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy!
The Power Converter Engineer will be part of the team in charge of assessing new converter architectures and components. The Power Converter Engineer will help in the development of power products that meet company goals, customer needs, and industry standards. The Power Converter Engineer will collaborate with teams like service, manufacturing, and procurement to address issues throughout the design process.
What kind of work will you be doing?
- Work with the team to analyze and test future conversion topologies and components.
- Perform lab tests to increase technology readiness and verify performance.
- Coordinate with engineering divisions and offering to define product specs.
- Support the testing team in creating plans and assessing results.
- Prepare technical documents, including drawings and component specs.
- Apply lessons learned from previous projects to new ones.
- Report progress, risks, and solutions to stakeholders and management promptly.
What will make you successful?
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years in UPS, or power conversion platforms (AC/DC, DC/DC, etc.).
- Substantial knowledge of IGBT, Mosfet, SiC power switches, and magnetic components basics.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficient with engineering design tools and methodologies (Plecs, Spice).
- Strong in planning, analysis and communication.
- Collaborative team player with solid problem-solving skills.
- Customer-oriented; open to travel.
- Good in written and spoken English.
- Experienced in technical documentation and test procedures.
- Complete knowledge of laboratory measuring instruments operation (oscilloscope, wattmeter, etc.).
- Proven experience in prototype development, tuning and testing.
Travel required on an occasional basis (10%) including international travel for NPDI product reviews and corporate meetings.

The anticipated salary range for this role in the Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy locality is between 40.000€ to 50.000€ gross per year [IF ROLE IS NON-EXEMPT: (based on a 40-hour work week)]—salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional benefits. Where applicable, a comprehensive overview of the full benefits package and any additional compensation will be provided during the initial interview. Compensation ranges are determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria including skills, experience, and job responsibilities.

About the TeamSkills Required
