Job Description:
JOB MISSION: Design, simulation, verification and maintenance of control and signal processing algorithms for grid-connected and off-grid power converters.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Use simulation tools to model the power stage of converters.
- Design and verify the control algorithms in simulation and give support to real-world verification.
- Verification of developed algorithms using HIL simulation systems.
- Follow the UTI-SYS work methodology and workflow, as defined by the department management.
- Responsibility for the quality of the developed designs and their documentation.
- Responsibility for meeting development deadlines agreed upon.
- Responsibility for keeping updated all documentation related to design and verification processes.
JOB FUNCTIONS :
Usual/Daily:
- High-level systems specification analysis.
- Design, model and verification of control algorithms.
- Design and verification of signal processing algorithms.
- Write technical documentation for developed designs or to give support to other departments.
- Support FW verification of implemented control and signal processing algorithms.
- Model development and maintenance of HIL simulation models.
Periodic/Occasional:
- Participation in periodical follow-up department/product meetings.
- Support to other departments.
- Analysis and testing at customer facilities in cases of support to other departments, or for UTI Design projects.
Engineering or university degree in a science field
Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken), other European languages are a plus.
Experience in technical writing (academic level)
0-3 years of academic experience in modeling and design of controllers for any of the following applications:
- Solar inverters.
- Wind power generation.
- Energy storage.
- Uninterruptible power supplies.
- Network quality.
- Electric mobility.
- Electrical converters.
Academic experience in the use of the following modeling and simulating tools for power converters:
- Matlab/Simulink
- Octave
- PSIM
- PLECS
- Simba
Typhoon HIL or any other HIL system
Specific training:
- Knowledge of dynamic modeling and control theory.
- On-the-job training/information (according to ER).
- Vocational training according to the Metal Industry Agreement and job position(s).
- Training on ERP management tools used in the company.
- Training on technical knowledge of the company's products.
Skills:

- Engineering or university degree in a science field
