We currently have a vacancy for a Power BI Expert fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Tasks
- Develop and maintain Business Intelligence and data visualization solutions by creating reports, data marts, and dataflows in Power BI;
- Prepare and validate technical and functional analysis with stakeholders, using and promoting appropriate modelling tools (UML, Entity Relationship Diagrams, BPM);
- Gather business requirements and translate them into Business Intelligence solutions;
- Develop and maintain user access management policies by executing user access requests and promoting best practices in a pragmatic and effective way;
- Develop and maintain Quality Assurance and Testing processes using proven methodologies by executing and automating tests and supporting the QA process;
- Prepare data models, including Data Warehouse and dimensional data modelling (OLAP DataMart, star schema, snowflake schema), and apply knowledge of OLTP modelling using tools such as EA Sparx and Oracle Designer.
- Master’s degree in a field relevant to Business intelligence/Datawarehouse, combined with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in IT;
- Minimum 5 years of specific expertise in Business requirements gathering and translation into BI solutions;
- Minimum 3 years of specific expertise with Business Intelligence tools and specifically Power BI;
- Minimum 3 years of specific expertise in Database Modelling/Management and Data Modelling: Oracle, MySQL, SQL server, PostgreSQL;
- Minimum 2 years of specific expertise with Microsoft Azure tools;
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop (data modelling, DAX, Power Query/M);
- Ability to summarize and simplify complex business concepts using visual modelling languages (UML, Entity Relation diagram) and convert them into effective star schema/snow flacks;
- Very good knowledge of Power BI (including Dax functions, Power apps and Dataflow/DataMart components) and Datawarehouse;
- Very good knowledge of Power BI Service (publishing, sharing, and security) and Power BI Gateway configuration;
- Very good knowledge of Power BI Dataflows and Power BI Embedded;
- Very good knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS) implementation;
- The following certifications are required: Microsoft Azure Foundation Certified, Power BI Data Analyst Certified Associate;
- Excellent command of the English language.
