H2 Performance Consulting (H2) is seeking a Power BI Developer to support Marine Forces Reserve, G-3/5, Training And Readiness Branch in New Orleans, LA. The Power BI Developer will provide in the sustainment and further improvement of the MARFORRES Drill and Annual Training (AT) Tracker (MDATT).

The Power BI Developer responsibilities will include:

  • Creating reporting, visualization and self-service data analysis using the Power Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Coding, testing, debugging, documenting, implementing and maintaining custom developed applications.
  • Collaborating proactively with functional users, analysts, and other team members to gather business requirements for reporting.
  • Understanding business requirements, determine implementation strategy, and translate into reports that conform to reporting best practices and standards.
  • Creating technical design specifications and developing analytical reports using Microsoft Power BI reporting tools.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Debugging, tuning, optimizing, and reporting performance.
  • Maintaining and applying coherent, optimized, integrated, and standardized processes and solutions.
  • Performing front end web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery.
  • Developing, implementing, and administering SharePoint sites.


Required Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, IT, or related field of study


Required Qualifications / Certifications:

  • 2 years of hands-on Power BI implementation experience required (2 - 3 implementations).
  • 2+ years of analytics implementation in a complex environment.
  • Knowledge of basic coding languages such as Visual Basic and JavaScript.
  • Experience using relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience supporting Agile efforts in a SCRUM environment.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE certification

Clearance Qualifications:

Active Secret security clearance at the time of application
