The Impact you will have in this role:
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with experience to design, develop, and maintain impactful dashboards and reports that enable data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and SQL, along with exposure to cloud-based data platforms. This role requires close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance reporting solutions.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Build and optimize data models (star/snowflake schemas) to support analytical and reporting requirements.
- Develop efficient SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from relational and cloud-based sources.
- Implement and manage Power BI datasets, reports, dashboards, and workspaces.
- Monitor and improve report performance, optimizing queries, data models, and visualizations
- Perform Power BI administration tasks, including:
- User access management and role-based security (RLS).
- Dataset refreshes scheduling and monitoring. Gateway setup and maintenance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, data quality, and data security standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to reports, datasets, and data refreshes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and end-user guides.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6+ years of related experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Talents Needed for Success:
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (Snowflake, Oracle, MS SQL Server, or similar).
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema).
- Experience working with structured and semi-structured data.
- Knowledge of ETL concepts and data pipelines supporting BI solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, etc.).
- Familiarity with DAX and Power Query (M language).
