Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Power BI Architect with a strong understanding of the architecture, design, development, and deployment of business intelligence systems and large-scale data warehouses using Power BI tools and commercial database platforms such as Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, Oracle, and Teradata.
Responsibilities

• Design Power BI deployment architecture including workspaces, data security, reports delivery, model refresh, and governance.
• Design optimal solutions for Power BI based on customer requirements
• Design effective data models that support business requirements
• Ensure data governance, data quality and adherence to best practices.
• Work closely with various stakeholders to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical requirements.
• Ensure accurate and reliable data presentation in dashboards and reports.
• Design and implement caching and performance architecture for Power BI tools.
• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI tools, setting standard templates.
• Define and implement BI management procedures.
• Design and implement BI metadata and data dictionary standards.
• Design and develop data warehouse projects and data marts.
• Model and create Power BI projects, logical data marts, and table structures.
• Define attributes, dimensions, hierarchies, and metrics.
• Define and manage schema objects for Power BI projects.
• Develop role-level security models (both dynamic and static).
• Implement incremental load policies for large Power BI datasets.
• Troubleshoot Power BI visualizations performance using DAX Studio.
• Manage Power BI Service duties such as setting up workspaces and managing report distribution with security considerations.
• Create complex DAX measures to meet client needs with knowledge of iterator functions.
• Experience with Power BI Deployment Pipelines.
• Enhance user experience with bookmarks and other workarounds
• Document systems through object models, data definitions, and naming conventions.
• Write reports and documentation, and speak effectively before groups of business and IT personnel.
• Travel to client locations as per project and client needs.
• Possess strong communication skills to convey complex data insights clearly and to inform strategic decision-making.
• Assist in planning and delivering multiple projects.
• Create project plans, milestones, and execution strategies.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet client goals.
• Manage and motivate multiple teams, maintaining strong relationships.
• Supervise both on-site and global virtual team members.
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills, adapt to challenges, and mentor team members.
• Identify problems, develop ideas, and propose solutions for various analytical or constructive situations.
• Prepare and present ideas and recommendations to colleagues and upper management.
• Provide assistance to less experienced employees as an advisor.
• Apply creative thinking expertise toward possible reporting solutions or alternatives.

Requirements

• Deep experience with Power BI deployment architecture, data security in Power BI, Power BI governance, and Power BI best practices
• Six (6+) years of experience in Information Technology with a technical background.
• Four (4+) years of experience in BI development with Power BI-based business intelligence systems and large-scale data warehouses.
• Proven experience in delivering multiple projects.
• Advanced Power BI development and SQL skills.
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Data Analytics in Azure 
• Willingness to travel to client locations.

Preferred

• Experience with Fortune 500 companies implementing BI solutions.
• Experience working in a Power BI Premium Capacity environment.
• Experience reporting against SAP and/or SAP BW.
• Good understanding of other Microsoft services in the Azure space.
