The Role
The role involves testing and integrating electronic circuits, focusing on power electronics, while collaborating with teams to develop and execute test plans.
Summary Generated by Built In
General Description:
Seeking an engineer to test and integrate electronic circuits and equipment, including medium to high-voltage (>600V) switching amplifiers and circuits. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with power electronics (e.g., linear/switching power supplies, transducer drivers, class-D amplifiers, power converters) and analog, logic, and RF circuits. Testing will focus on high-voltage, high-frequency SiC or GaN devices, with opportunities in microwave and mmW circuits.

Essential Duties:
Provide expertise in power electronics design, implementation, and testing.
The testing and integration of custom power electronics with switching frequencies up to 1 MHz, including power supplies, amplifiers, and converters.
Collaborate with lead designers to develop test plans, operate prototype/test equipment, document results, and manage equipment needs.

Required Skills:
Provide expertise in analog and power electronics design
Proficiency in electrical fabrication (e.g., soldering), programming (Matlab, Python, C/C++, LabView), and circuit debugging.
Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, power supply, signal/network/impedance analyzers).
Familiarity with SiC/GaN devices preferred; high-voltage (>1 kV) experience a plus.
Knowledge of switch-mode power electronics, test equipment, digital logic, analog, signal conditioning, and RF circuits.
Skills in wiring, interconnects, and magnetic component design are a plus.

Required Education:
B.S. and 2 years of relevant experience or M.S. degree in electrical engineering. Candidates with different experience levels may be considered for other positions.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to follow protocols to safely operate hazardous equipment.
