Job Description Summary:

We are looking for responsible, qualified and experienced candidate for the post of Poultry Specialist. This job will be Responsible and accountable for supervising all aspects of contract farms.

Job Description:

  • Supervising all aspects of contract farms
  • Resolving contract grower conflicts
  • Biosecurity, strain security, animal welfare, and health & safety are major responsibilities
  • Assisting with placements, vaccinations, and disinfection
  • May perform other tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor

Job Qualifications:

  • BS in Poultry Science or related field (preferred)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to calculate feed, manage and weigh birds, prioritize work schedules, solve problems relating to growth, performance, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends – on call 24 hours a day
  • Must be self-motivated with ability to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Current driver’s license
  • Two years of poultry experience preferred
