Open Systems Technologies is looking for a Postgres SME. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and expertise in all aspects of Postgres database administration and management. The Postgres SME will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, security, and optimization of our database systems to support our organization's data management goals.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain high-performance Postgres database environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
  • Implement database security best practices and ensure data integrity
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions
  • Manage database backups and recovery procedures
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Postgres database technology

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • US Citizen
  • Active Secret Clearance Required
  • Possession of Security+ or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Postgres database administrator or SME
  • Advanced knowledge of Postgres database administration, including configuration, tuning, and monitoring
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL programming
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PostgreSQL Certified Professional) a plus
