Salary: $65,882 - $82,352 annually

Position Summary

The Postdoctoral Researcher will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator to develop and lead an emerging program of research focused on supporting healthy aging among people living with HIV. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in the design, implementation, analysis, and dissemination of patient-oriented, equity-informed research, contributing to the development and evaluation of innovative interventions and care models for aging populations with HIV. This position offers the opportunity to build an independent research trajectory within a well-established, multidisciplinary HIV research environment and to engage with national research and community networks.

Duties

  • Lead the development, coordination, and execution of research studies focused on aging, multimorbidity, and health outcomes among people living with HIV
  • Design and conduct quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed-methods research, including protocol development, data collection, and analysis
  • Engage in patient- and community-partnered research, including co-design and participatory approaches
  • Contribute to intervention development and evaluation in clinical and community-based settings
  • Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication and contribute to conference presentations
  • Lead and contribute to grant writing and funding applications
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams, methodologists, and community partners
  • Support knowledge translation activities aimed at clinical, community, and policy audiences

Qualifications

  • PhD or MD required
  • Demonstrated research experience related to HIV, aging, chronic disease, or health equity
  • Strong methodological skills in quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods research
  • Experience with patient-oriented, community-engaged, or participatory research approaches
  • Track record of peer-reviewed publications or clear evidence of publication readiness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
  • Experience working with people living with HIV or marginalized populations preferred
  • Familiarity with implementation science, intervention development, or health services research preferred
  • Experience with grant writing and funding submissions preferred
  • Knowledge of equity-oriented frameworks preferred (e.g., GBA+, trauma-informed research)
  • Experience working within clinical research settings or healthcare systems preferred
