You will be (your responsibilities):

  • Creates engineering documents (i.e., engineering specifications, paint specifications, engineering procedures) with the help of a PM/PE, as needed.

  • Manages First Articles and Testing ERP demand, production orders, supply planning, inventory pull and return with guidance and support from the Engineers and Product Development team. This employee would start under the training of the current Engineering coordinator with the intention of either becoming a backup on this task or taking over this task as the primary.

  • Assists with the documentation including photos, reports, emails and more for First Articles and Testing with guidance and support from the Engineers and Product Development team.

  • Create part numbers and routes in Enovia/ERP such as Dynamics 365 ERP as requested by designer and engineers.

  • Send drawings and 3D model computer files to partners, foundries and vendors as requested.

  • Coordinate special project upgrades by marking up appropriate redlines, tasking in SharePoint and giving proper direction to design. The direction will come from Engineers or designers, but the coordinator will follow up and ensure the required work is completed before sending to the Engineer or Designer for final review and approval.

  • Checks drawings for consistency, cosmetic and grammatical errors, and release drawings, as needed.

  • Coordinates and arranges in-house meetings, records, and transcribes minutes of meetings.

  • Coordinates travel schedules and make reservations as needed. Help / assist with passport and Visa requests.

  • Typically your work will be done using emails, PLM (Product Life Cycle management Software such as Enovia3DExperience), word documents, excel and PowerPoints using Microsoft software. But other software may be required for tasks and appropriate training will be provided.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Engineering Coordinator Level I

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or 2-4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, all correspondence, and memos. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Demonstrates a proficiency to operate a variety of software programs including, but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation graphics, Email, personal information management and specialized programs relating to job function. Proficient use of Windows Programs; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (Contacts) and knowledge of SharePoint is a plus.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The position requires a strong working understanding of computers and various word processing and spreadsheet software packages. General knowledge of office machinery such as printers, copiers, camera phones, and cameras is required.
