We are looking for a POS Support Engineer to join our IT team in Harrods. You will provide a first class support service for our key Retail & Restaurant Systems – primarily EPOS and related systems but also some others
Working to a 4-on 4-off shift pattern, our RSS Team provide 7 day proactive and reactive support to ensure our retail and restaurant operations remain fully functioning at all times. Our SLAs are important to us and our RSS Engineers are instrumental to ensuring our support service exceeds expectations
About The Role
This is a hands on, technical role, in a fast paced and busy environment; key daily activities include monitoring our systems for availability, tracking ticket queues for support issues, investigating and troubleshooting incidents and
building & configuring new EPOS & related systems.
You will also:
- Investigate & resolve incidents and requests assigned to the Retail Systems Services team
- Build and configure EPOS and related systems
- Install, fix and replace EPOS and related systems
- Assist with the management of all monitoring system tools
- Ensure that the Retail Systems Services Manager is informed of any operational activities
About You
As the POS Support Engineer you will have previous experience working with EPOS Systems and have a background working in retail. You must be a confident, articulate communicator who has the ability to manage stakeholder for brands as first point of contact/ able to have sensible conversations.
You will also have excellent attention to detail with good communication skills as these are essential in ensuring our high standards. We are looking for someone who has analytical skills, problem solving skills and can troubleshoot in areas. Ideally you will have an IT background too. It is important in this role that you can work 4 days on 4 days off totally store based (including Bank Holidays and weekends)
