The Point-of-Sale (POS) Planner is a key role responsible for developing and updating a demand plan for POS materials, incorporating input from Sales, Trade Marketing, and Finance. You will be involved in analyzing data to produce reports and insights to optimize supply chain efficiency for POS items. Key tasks include demand and supply planning, inventory management, and procedure compliance. You should be adept at working in dynamic settings, skilled in multiple systems, and proficient in synthesizing data into actionable reports.
Job Description
DEMAND PLANNING
Oversee the yearly business planning cycle and coordinate meetings to gather monthly demand forecasts from different departments.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance departments to understand the POS Portfolio and ensure accurate system data.
The responsibilities include determining the operations supply based on the demand forecast and special project requirements.
Upload forecast into SAP APO and reconcile with Domestic SAP Planning tool.
Support achievement and reporting of forecasting targets.
SUPPLY PLANNING AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
Maintain the accuracy of Material Master Data.
Manage inventory levels to support demand and prevent out-of-stock or overstock situations.
Manage international and local replenishment orders and track goods in transit.
Provide monthly stock, allocation, and ordering reports and highlight supply risks and opportunities to Sales & Distribution teams.
Manage transitions of New, Phasing Out and Replacement SKUs.
Monitor supply and demand situations and collaborate with global procurement and planning departments to ensure smooth delivery of goods.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Resolve demand/supply imbalances with key stakeholders.
Develop cross-functional efficiencies across all planning and inbound stages of Supply Chain
Stay knowledgeable about customer practices, needs, and strategies to provide recommendations.
SYSTEMS/SOFTWARE MANAGEMENT
Manage and maintain SAP (APO) Advance Planner & Optimizer to ensure data and forecasting accuracy.
Collaborate with stakeholders on system enhancements and solutions.
Test and implement software tool enhancements.
PROCESS OPTIMIZATION AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPROVEMENT
Help create a robust planning function to support continuous improvement.
Develop and enhance planning tools to further improve the planning process.
Define and implement relevant KPIs for POS Supply Chain
Establish a network and foster collaboration with key stakeholders and Operations team members.
Maintain documentation and SOPs for planning processes and systems.
Qualifications
3 years of experience working in various roles related to Supply Chain, such as Demand & Supply Planning, Inventory management, and production management.
Proven ability to conduct complex, quantitative, and statistical analyses combined with multiple sources' qualitative inputs to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
High caliber of professional interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships with other areas of the business particularly the Sales, Finance and Marketing teams.
Self-motivated team member who can drive resolution to issues with strong problem-solving skills.
Proficient in advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
Deep knowledge and experience in SAP ERP & APO DP/SNP.
Additional Information
The base salary range for this position is $76,095 to $84,105 + cash incentives Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
