A team member supports the daily tasks of Associate Portfolio Managers in implementing portfolio management activities. They should be engaged in financial markets to apply their knowledge to problem solving tasks. Key responsibilities may include:
- Performing start-of-day quality control checks to verify data accuracy and integrity
- Assisting in the review of portfolios to identify strategy dispersion, validate lifecycle events, or investment workflow completion pursuant to guidelines and instructions.
- Constructing proposed purchase and sell orders in client portfolios for APM review based on established procedures, automation, or optimization solutions
- Investigating and escalating post-trade compliance alerts to ensure adherence to investment guidelines
- Supporting the operational setup of new accounts or client transition events.
- Assisting in the maintenance of product targets or rule sets as directed by PMs or APMs
- Assisting in the preparation of investment and portfolio reports
- Supporting routine or ad-hoc client requests or team requests
- Identifying opportunities to re-engineer and automate processes to boost operational efficiency, improve client service, and strengthen risk controls
