Purpose of Role: Oversee operational excellence within our offshore wind portfolio team to optimising value, revenue, and capital growth. It is a crucial role in ensuring efficient operations, compliance, risk management, safety, and data analysis to support Marine’s strategic goals. Accountable for optimising revenue and capital growth, maintaining compliance, mitigating risks, fostering a culture of safety and excellence whilst providing analysis and modelling to maximise commercial success.

Main accountabilities:

  • Provide on-going and regular data and statistical analysis regarding the performance and pipeline of the portfolio to senior management and the wider business and prepare reports, dashboards and information as required

  • Oversee contract compliance, adhering to health and safety industry regulations and standards

  • Implement robust risk management strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory and Health & Safety standards, fostering a secure operational environment

  • Identify potential opportunities for value optimisation and growth through strategic business development and commercial due diligence

  • Drive continuous improvements in systems and processes, by managing and monitoring enterprise systems and identifying areas of improvement and optimisation. Working closely with cross-functional teams/Group Partners on initiatives to improve systems and processes

  • Develop and implement standardised processes, tools, and best practices and continuously measure and monitor processes and systems to identifying opportunities for change, revenue and improvements

  • Drive process improvements, cost controls, data cleansing, process automation and system upgrade/implementation as required

  • Lead portfolio performance and budget forecasting process, managing income forecasting and capital value growth targets, and ensuring financial sustainability. Seeking inputs and support from Asset and Portfolio Managers as required and sign off with Portfolio Managers (or Director, as appropriate)

  • Manage assurance of the offshore wind data and information reported to senior management and working with external consultants/ advisors to assure the accuracy of the data reported

  • Manage provision of data/audit and annual internal strategy forecast for the offshore wind valuation with external advisors

  • Act as a subject matter expert, training and coaching team to build a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

  • Develop the capability of Asset Managers to help them define, manage and improve systems

Most important skills based requirements:

  • Proven track record in asset and investment management, with experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and identify areas for improvement

  • Strong commercial acumen to drive revenue and capital growth

  • In-depth understanding of contractual agreements, investment management, and financial processes

  • Proficiency in data, compliance, and risk management

  • Familiarity with offshore sector or related sectors

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective allow you to engage with internal stakeholders, building strong relationships and reinforcing our commitment to service excellence

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work closely with sector teams

  • Proven ability to influence change without direct authority

  • Experience in the application of financial and commercial concepts to business situations

  • Attention to detail whilst maintaining sight of the wider business implications
