ATTENTION STRATEGIC MARKETERS! 📢 Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join Royal Canin ANZ as our Portfolio Marketing Specialist on a 12 month contract basis.
Based in Melbourne and appointed on a hybrid working arrangement, the Portfolio Marketing Specialist is responsible for driving the delivery of a profitable portfolio for the ROYAL CANIN® and Eukanuba® brands. This important role is key in supporting the ANZ business in achieving its 2030 growth ambitions.
Under the direction of the Portfolio Lead, the role will lead the execution of assigned portfolio projects (including NPD, revamps and portfolio optimisations), including taking them through key product review stages, and developing product-related marketing materials required to deploy the product. The role will also support the ongoing review of portfolio health across respective portfolios, making strategic recommendations for growth and/or rationalisation.
This role requires expert collaboration both within the Portfolio Team and across the business pillars, with Sales and veterinary-based Associates. As a global business, the role will also be required to build good working relationships with relevant Regional and Global stakeholders, to support smooth knowledge transfer and sharing back relevant insights.
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Execute the portfolio strategy by undertaking assigned portfolio projects. This includes preparing submissions and inputs for all checkpoints required in the product review process.
- Lead the creation and delivery of required marketing assets related to a product project, including writing creative briefs, collaborating with required internal stakeholders and moving materials through the internal creative approval process.
- Ensure all product information remains current on all platforms where product information is shared with Customers and Consumers.
- Partner with relevant Customer Marketing Managers to facilitate a smooth transition of the product project into the market, provide strategic consultation and creative input into Retailer portfolio activations as required as well as monitor product performance post-launch
- Support the Portfolio Lead in monitoring portfolio health on a regular cadence, undertaking a thorough review and analysis of performance and making recommendations where opportunity exists for growth (through innovation) and/or rationalisation.
What are we looking for?
- Approx. 3-5 years' experience in a portfolio-based/brand manager role
- Marketing experience linked to portfolio activity (e.g. product launches, portfolio health etc.)
- Proven experience and excellence in developing robust Portfolio marketing materials (eg. Launch Plans & Assets)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent project management skills
- Degree in Marketing or relevant field
- Strong analytical skills and ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Both willingness and capability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams and stakeholders
