As an Senior Originator (Renewable Asset Management) at ACT Commodities APAC, you will work with the most interesting clients around APAC; each with their own set of exciting challenges. You will engage with a diverse range of clients, each presenting unique challenges and opportunities. You'll be responsible for managing and growing your portfolio, working closely with renewable asset owners to identify opportunities for monetizing the environmental attributes of their assetsand optimizing the value of these attributes.

- Formulate and implement strategic approaches to maximize the sourcing and profit margins of REC within the APAC Market.
- Continuously and strategically seek ways to optimize our access to renewable asset owners and expanding the portfolio of assets under management.
- Renewable asset registration: utilize industry experience with power grid companies, project developers, and power generation enterprises to advance the project registration and issuance of RECs
- Work closely with renewable asset owners to identify opportunities for REC sales, helping them maximize the value of their portfolios.
- Levering on relevant third parities in the market to speed up the expansion of our local networks and open the access to more asset owners
- Continuously monitor portfolio performance and provide regular updates and insights to the trading team.
- Conduct negotiations and finalize offtake agreements while adhering to the prevailing market rules and organizational guidelines
- Work with the trading team to develop and optimize solutions for managing and utilizing sourced products
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and updates in domestic and international carbon emissions trading, green electricity, and environmental certificate markets, keeping up with new regulations, policies, and technological advancements.
- Identify suitable clients in the market by visiting industry events/conferences and perform cold acquisition.
Your Expertise:
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
- Fluent in English and any SEA language is a plus
- bachelor’s/master's degree, preferably in Energy, Environmental, Electricity, Business and/or other similar fields
- 7-10 years’ experience, minimum of 5 yrs experience in the power sector, particularly in solar project development or EPC sales.
- Proven experience in (renewable) asset origination, portfolio management, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle constructive criticism and not afraid to fail and try again
- Aptitude for taking initiative, a commercial and creative mind with an entrepreneurial attitude
