Portfolio Manager, Global Installed Base
Reports to: Global Installed Base Director
Backed by executive sponsorship, enterprise investment, and partnerships with platforms like Microsoft, Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, and PTC, this role offers unmatched visibility, cross functional influence, and the opportunity to shape the future of our digital services strategy.
As part of JCI’s Services Transformation Initiative, this role sits at the center of one of the company’s highest priority strategic efforts. You will determine how our global Installed Base is transformed into actionable insights that shape how we sell, service, and grow. The decisions you make will directly influence service penetration, ARR expansion, customer retention, and revenue growth across every major line of business. Your work will accelerate seller effectiveness, unlock new monetization pathways, and drive meaningful impact across core financial metrics.
Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Leadership & Governance
- Own the global Installed Base portfolio strategy, roadmap, lifecycle model, and prioritization across all JCI lines of business.
- Track KPIs linked to FY26 objectives, including pipeline growth, Field View adoption, digital thread quality, 3‑month KPI improvements, service penetration, contract expansion, and asset monetization.
- Lead portfolio reviews, execution governance, and stakeholder alignment across global and regional teams.
Data, Analytics & AI Integration
- Define business and functional requirements for lifecycle analytics, segmentation models, asset scoring, predictive signal development, and Installed Base KPIs.
- Improve signal‑to‑noise ratio and ensure clarity in lifecycle insights across connected and non‑connected assets.
- Maintain technology taxonomy, asset hierarchy standards, and guide the ongoing deployment of JCI’s Asset Digital Thread.
Cross‑Functional Execution & Delivery
- Embed Installed Base insights into Connected Services, modernization, ARR expansion, and monetization programs.
- Partner with Sales, Services, Product, and Regional Ops to align execution and remove friction.
- Coordinate with Salesforce CRM, SAP, Oracle, and the NextGen Service Management system to ensure process and system readiness.
Lifecycle Insights → Global Services Strategy
- Translate Installed Base analytics into strategies that enhance service penetration, lifecycle contracting, and recurring revenue.
- Influence pricing, packaging, and global service offering evolution based on lifecycle data.
People Leadership
- Lead and develop the Installed Base Analyst and Installed Base Product Specialist.
- Foster innovation, operational rigor, and continuous improvement across the Installed Base team.
Change Leadership & Field Adoption
- Drive adoption of Installed Base tools, analytics, and workflows across sales and service organizations.
- Deliver training, communications, and change management aligned to global rollout plans.
- 8+ years in portfolio management, services strategy, product management, or program leadership in industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Expertise in technology taxonomy, asset hierarchy modeling, and lifecycle asset management.
- Strong experience influencing and executing within matrixed global organizations.
- Proficiency with Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, and enterprise service management systems.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, innovation mindset, and operational discipline.
- Domain knowledge across HVAC/Chillers, Fire, Security, and Controls.
- Experience in Connected Services, ARR models, predictive maintenance, or asset monetization.
- Leadership experience overseeing analysts or product specialists.

- Travel 25–30%, including some international travel
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $120k-170k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
