The Portfolio Management (“PM”) Analyst will primarily support the PM team’s responsibilities in managing Resolution Life’s (“RL”) investments across the asset class spectrum. As an insurance company, the RL portfolio consists of a diversified mix of capital-efficient investments which are optimized from time-to-time for the best risk adjusted return outcome. RL leverages relationships with third-party investment managers to invest in specific asset classes. It is the primary responsibility of the PM team to execute the investment strategy through manager oversight, the implementation of tactical market views, monitoring and managing emergent risks in the investment portfolio, and communicating portfolio results to senior leadership. The PM team works in collaboration with the Investment Risk and Strategy team to set and monitor portfolio construction, asset allocation, asset class relative value, and formulate market views.
The Analyst will have the opportunity to gain exposure to investments across the portfolio and will also be involved in other aspects of the team’s activities including risk management, performance analysis,  and reporting. Additionally, the Analyst is a critical conduit between investments and other internal stakeholders including team members from the actuarial, finance, treasury, legal, and operations groups.

The individual for this role will be expected to be a team-player, willing to learn, and develop her/his skills with a positive attitude and a high degree of self-motivation.

Profile Description:

  • Assist PM Team with market research and ad-hoc analysis related to the investment portfolio and its performance, assets classes or the investment outlook
  • Perform relative value and liquidity analysis to support investment execution
  • Help prepare key materials and analysis for RL business units and subsidiaries
  • Use Blackrock Aladdin and PowerBI to build out dashboards to monitor RL investments
  • Assist the broader Investment Team including Investment Strategy and Risk and Investment Shared Services
  • Research investment strategies and follow new developments related to RL Investment Team’s Objectives and Key Results
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to continuously improve data analysis best practices, solutions, and measures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in investments/finance/risk, preferably in an insurance setting
  • Fixed Income and Blackrock Aladdin knowledge/experience preferable
  • Advanced PC skills including Excel and PowerPoint, with an aptitude to use/learn other analytical software
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and pivot efficiently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team-player, willingness to contribute actively to team spirit

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in the office),

These estimates consider a wide range of factors in making base salary decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

 

In addition to salary, Resolution Life US offers a comprehensive benefits package, including our health & wellness program, incentive and recognition programs, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The range for the role may differ based on the location.

·         New York, NY:  $125,100- $152,900
