Job Title: Portfolio Finance Associate
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the securities lending book for the firm by providing borrow color to PMs, monitoring and negotiating borrow fees on borrowed securities and opportunities to lend long positions, and reporting short interest metrics firm wide.
• Identify and provide analysis on corporate actions that may have impacts on stock loan markets.
• Work closely with portfolio managers to evaluate and enhance financing structures.
• Collaborate with our Margin and Liquidity team to optimize financing and margin across asset classes, including equities, fixed income, credit, and derivatives.
• Execute daily FX hedging for the firm.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Stay informed on market developments, regulatory changes, and financing trends that may impact the firm’s funding strategy.
• Generate ideas and manage projects focused on improving reporting and decision-making tools for portfolio financing, the Treasury group, and the firm.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in securities lending, prime brokerage, treasury, or financing within a hedge fund or investment bank.
• Deep understanding of U.S. and global securities lending markets.
• Familiarity with financing structures (ex. total return swaps, interest rate swaps, and other derivative products.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills; proficiency with Python, SQL, or other analytics tools a plus.
• Experience with FX execution or hedging strategies highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal PMs and external counterparties.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
