This position will be a hybrid work arrangement. You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.
The Portfolio Associate will support the newly established Fund Management team within the Enterprise Investment Office. This team is accountable for accomplishing and leading all aspects of fund management strategy, developing operational guidelines, and monitoring fund performance across the platform. The Team’s responsibilities include capital use decision making such as capital calls, distributions, recycling, and debt utilization, as well as leveraging data and technology to enhance client experience, optimize performance, and manage liquidity.
In this role, the Portfolio Associate plays an integral part in the Fund Management team by contributing to daily fund decisions, ongoing fund monitoring, and cross functional collaboration across HarbourVest.

What you will do:
Evaluate capital use recommendations by analyzing fund capacity, historical trends, and model utilization to determine optimal outcomes for investors
Prepare capital transaction recommendation materials for funds requiring HarbourVest Committee approval
Participate in recurring meetings with Fund Managers to review fund specific outcomes, strategy, and client expectations
Cross functional coordination and planning with Investment teams, Treasury, Accounting, Capital Markets, and Investor Relations to implement the Fund Management strategy across collaborators
Develop and maintain internal fund management strategy and guidelines documentation
Support continuous improvement of existing Fund Management execution to improve efficiency, scalability, and outcomes including processes, data, technology, dashboards, reporting, and collaboration across different departments
What you bring:
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and competing requests
Background in Private Markets preferred with an understanding of fund structuring and mechanics
Proven problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with strong attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power Apps
Education Preferred
Bachelor of Arts (B.A) or equivalent experience
Bachelor of Science (B.S) or equivalent experience
Experience
3-5 Years of relevant experience in Finance or Private Markets preferred

Salary Range
$79,000.00 - $111,000.00This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Our total rewards offerings are influenced by several business factors, and eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography. Please note the posted ranges do not apply outside the U.S. and should not be converted to other currencies as a proxy for compensation in other countries.
