About the Position
We are looking for a versatile Portfolio Finance and/or Treasury Specialist to join our APAC Finance team. This role requires a broad range of skills, from the more technical skills (e.g., analytics, portfolio optimization, returns profile and building monitoring tools) to softer skills like project leadership, collaborating with teams across the firm and coordinating with external counterparties.

We will count on you to bring fresh ideas to the table and help us find solutions to all sorts of hard and interesting problems, which may include:
- Building efficiency in securities lending and financing processes across the firm
- Diversifying and optimizing Jane Street's borrowing sources through strategic product builds and the leveraging of street-side relationships
- Understanding how changes to our regulatory environment may impact risk and trading
- Producing tools and systems to better develop, grow and monitor risk in our business
The strongest candidate for this role would be a systems thinker who loves working with people. Successfully implementing the solutions our team develops together will require partnering with the desks to help with trades and trade ideas, and working with the broader team to make sure our partnerships with prime brokers, financing providers and service providers are optimized in terms of efficiency and bottom-line returns.
About You
- 3+ years of related finance or Delta One-type experience at a sell-side or buy-side firm, either in a trading role or adjacent/related seat
- Able to develop relationships with clearing, execution and financing partners
- Motivated self-starter who can help build a platform capable of supporting our growth
- Strong analytical skills; able to learn and understand new trading strategies
- Strategic and critical thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit; can improvise quick solutions under time pressure with a strong eye for detail
- Excellent communicator; can distil complex concepts into clear, concise messages for a range of audiences both written and verbally
- Enjoys working in a highly collaborative environment
- Python, SQL or other programming skills a plus
- Fluency in English required
