RBA are currently seeking an exceptional IT Project Assurance and Control Specialist to provide project control and assurance support ensuring consistent application of the policies, principles, practices and Ways of Working for change initiatives across the project portfolio.
The Portfolio Senior Analyst will be responsible for:
Driving the uplift of Resource Management across projects, programs, and Departments.
Supporting the delivery of an assurance framework over portfolio management, product ownership and delivery practices.
Providing insights through various reporting on portfolio financials, schedules and oversight of the portfolio pipeline. .
Key Objectives
Ensure delivery teams are following the agreed practices, procurement policies, reporting standards, financial management and Ways of Working.
Assist in developing, implementing, and continuously improving assurance and control methods for change initiatives ensuring they are efficient and fit for purpose.
Assist in ensuring change initiatives are set-up for success and are progressing in alignment with the direction agreed with IT, EPMO, Finance, Procurement, and other support partners.
Assist in project control and maintaining a central view of resource supply and demand for in-flight and upcoming projects, escalating any mismatch for remedial action.
Prepare materials and lead discussions in forums established for project selection, prioritisation, governance, and control across the portfolio.
Your background
Experience in Project Assurance of Waterfall and Agile projects or a similar PMO role.
Experience in providing project control and governance support for a complex portfolio of projects.
Ability to deal with complex problems, prioritisation, issue and risk management, etc.
Exceptional communications and engagement skills in connecting people to purpose and outcomes.
Strong understanding of corporate and industry standards, project management tools and techniques.
Well-developed ability to apply tools and techniques in accordance with established process that will best support successful performance.
Demonstrated and proven capability in observing and reporting on discrepancies, trends, and interrelationships in project data.
Demonstrated ability to tailor procedures based on lessons learned and good practice.
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
