What you will be doing:
- Provide portfolio investment analysis, produce daily/monthly risk and performance deliverables, and perform quantitative analysis and model validation.
- Retrieve, validate, reconcile, and analyse large volumes of portfolio and market data, while ensuring the integrity of sensitive client information.
- Suggest improvements for technical solutions and tools, identify process shortcomings, and contribute to quality management processes
- Interact with clients, assist with data processing, respond to report queries, and collaborate with the team to prioritise deliverables and verify statistics.
What you need:
- Bachelor’s or Honours degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- Inclination to complete the CIPM, FRM or CAIA charter
- 1-2 years relevant experience would be ideal.
- Candidates need strong skills in Excel, SQL, Python, Databricks, and BI tools. Exposure to AI tools, automation, and coding projects is advantageous.
- The role requires the ability to manage large quantities of portfolio and market data, maintain strict data integrity, and possess a solid understanding of portfolio and instrument-level information.
- Strong attention to detail, effective time management under pressure, clear written and verbal communication, and the initiative to work both independently and as a team player.
- Understanding of current industry trends.
