The Portfolio Analyst will assist Portfolio Management in the day-to-day monitoring of outside assets pledged as collateral. This will include identifying transactions for unsecured positions and supporting production related programs. The Portfolio Analyst will demonstrate an analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
What You'll Do
- Assists Senior Vice President in ensuring that brokerage statements are received and entered into the system in a timely manner. This may include processing incoming mail with sensitive financial information, data entry, and the ensuring that compliance is met in the physical and digital handling of documents.
- Leverages internal reporting tools to identify stale data elements tied to brokerage collateral records. Works with external collateral holding companies and internal loan teams to obtain updated value statements. Ensures that the collateral holding companies, and the clients, are adhering to their obligations outlined in legally binding documents like Control and Security Agreements.
- Helps identify transactions that have become unsecured and interacts with Senior Vice President and senior management to ensure that soft default / default letters are issued in a timely manner. Coordinates with loan teams, Senior Portfolio Analysts, and Senior Vice President to record loans that are only temporarily unsecure in the system due to ongoing transactions or system adjustments.
- Assists Senior Portfolio Analysts in preparing the Collateral Management Meeting reports. Records minutes for the meeting and assists in compiling the team’s comments to publish and distribute.
- Supports Multi-Life Loan Program as needed. This may include data entry, data clean up or reconciliation, confirming details of legal documents, verifying sensitive personal information of parties to the deal, and other underwriting support.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of transferrable experience, financial industry experience a plus
- Known for catching critical discrepancies early, preventing costly errors and ensuring compliance with regulatory framework
- Ability to dig beneath the surface, connect data points and ask the critical 'why' to uncover underlying trends.
- Enthusiasm for the financial industry, with a demonstrated interest in following the markets

Compensation
The estimated hourly rate for this role is $21.50 - $28.00 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual pay rate may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
