Job DescriptionThis role involves transporting crew members and supplies to nearby vessels, as well as maintaining the grounds and vehicles used by Ingram Associates. Candidates must reside in the Sauget area.
What you will be doing:
- Transporting/Coordinating crew members and supplies to company vessels via crew boat
- Coordinating boardings to vessels for service technicians
- General upkeep of dock landing barges and crew boats
- Overseeing dock string re-spudding
- Maintaining the facility and parking area for appearance and operation
- Security for office, company equipment, and vessel personnel parked vehicles
- Supporting Custom Fuel Service
- Monitoring inventory of landing for restock
- Overseeing light duty personnel at times
- Supporting vessel crew members
- Overseeing Fire Extinguisher Program for all IBCO vessels
- Tracking onboard rigging inventory
- Overseeing maintenance of crew boats
- Overseeing and participating in re-spudding of the fleet and dock barge when moving due to changing river conditions
- Supporting all departments after hours with a priority for crew dispatch and our warehouse
- Ensuring all vessels at docks are secure
- Responsible for housekeeping needs when they arise
- Inspecting shore wires and other fleet securement systems
- Supporting department activities with regular and prompt attendance
- Utilizing Helm for facility inspections, safety meetings, and drills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills are a must.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least one year of experience is preferred.
- A Forklift certification is required.
- TWIC required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
Working Environment and Conditions:
- Able to bend, stoop and stand for long periods of time
- Able to frequently lift, hold, and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Able to safely enter and exit confined spaces, climb ladders up to 70 feet and negotiate uneven and moving surfaces
- Able to meet weight and size limits outlined in equipment safety guidelines
- Able to board and ride in skiffs/crew boat in order to reach vessels
- Able to hear, understand and communicate instructions in English, particularly in emergency situations
- Able to work in extreme weather (i.e. heat, cold, snow)
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- In extreme circumstances, may need to lift, hold, or carry equipment weighing up to 85 lbs.
Pay: $26.00 hourly
