About Linero

Linero is building the operational infrastructure that ensures the world's most sensitive technologies reach the right hands, and never the wrong ones.

Our customers include some of the most consequential companies in the world: leading AI labs, aerospace and defense primes, semiconductor giants, quantum computing pioneers, and companies pushing the frontier in chemicals, advanced manufacturing, and robotics.

We are an AI-native, venture-backed company creating a new category of software at the intersection of national security, industrial infrastructure, and enterprise AI.

The Role

As Policy Lead at Linero, you will own the company’s policy function across external engagement, customer advisory, and product strategy.

You will represent Linero in D.C. and across key policy circles in Europe and Asia, building relationships and convening conversations around export controls, national security regulation, and the future of frontier technology.

You will help customers navigate emerging regulatory questions, advise the team on policy and geopolitical shifts relevant to our market, and ensure those changes inform how we build and position the product.

You will work directly with the CEO and operate with significant autonomy across policy, product, and commercial functions. For the right candidate, the role can include broader commercial and product partnership responsibilities.

What You'll Own

  • Build and own Linero's presence in D.C., developing relationships across government, regulatory bodies, think tanks, and the national security community

  • Engage policymakers and regulators on issues relevant to Linero's mission and customer base

  • Plan and execute Linero's conference and events strategy: identifying the right venues, securing speaking opportunities, and ensuring Linero shows up with impact

  • Organize and host roundtables, speaker series, and customer events that position Linero at the center of the national security technology conversation

  • Develop Linero's external voice: white papers, op-eds, speaking engagements, and public commentary that build credibility and visibility

  • Serve as a trusted policy advisor to Linero's enterprise customers, helping them understand the policy landscape and navigate it with confidence

  • Monitor and analyze developments across export controls, national security regulation, and related technology policy areas, translating them into actionable insight for the team and customers

  • Partner with the CEO on strategic relationships in government and the national security community

  • Serve as an internal knowledge center, ensuring the product, engineering, and commercial teams understand the policy environment they are operating in

What We're Looking For

  • Deep experience in national security policy, from government, the military, a leading think tank, or a law firm with a national security practice

  • An established network in Washington across government, defense, and the national security community

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, you can write a compelling op-ed, brief a senior government official, and present to a Fortune 500 executive with equal confidence

  • A genuine passion for the intersection of technology and national security; you follow this space closely and have a point of view

  • Experience planning and executing high-profile events, conferences, or convenings; you know how to create a room that people want to be in

  • Entrepreneurial mindset; you are comfortable building something from scratch

  • Experience in strategic partnerships - commercial, technology, or institutional - is a strong plus and may expand the scope of the role

  • Graduate of a leading university with a JD, MPP, or advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred

  • Based in New York City or Washington, DC with frequent travel between both

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience

  • Early equity in a company with proven market demand and a clear growth trajectory

  • Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision

  • The opportunity to build a policy function from the ground up at a company solving some of the most critical national security challenges of our time

Equal Opportunity & Eligibility

  • Linero is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status

  • This role requires access to export-controlled information, as a result, applicants must be U.S. persons (citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees) as defined under applicable U.S. law

  • Start date is immediate, with flexibility for the right candidate

Skills Required
