Join us! The GoFundMe team is searching for our next Policy and Engagement Intern to support stakeholder engagement, relationship building, and meaningful partnerships to advance our mission to help people help each other.

This is a 10 week internship that runs from May 27th, 2026 to August 7th, 2026. Candidates considered for this position will be located in San Diego, CA or San Francisco, CA with in-office expectations three days per week.
The Job…
- Support the Policy, Advocacy, and Community Engagement team across all aspects of work
- Assisting with outreach activities, tracking of relationships, and researching potential partnership prospects
- Drafting agendas, memos, meeting summaries, and other documents as needed
- Helping with event planning, execution, and follow up
- Research and tracking of pending policy areas of interest

- Strong interpersonal skills
- A passion for helping, and bringing people together
- Excellent organization, project management, and attention to detail
- Superior written and verbal communication abilities
Nice to have…
- Experience in a role that requires external engagement or communications
- Knowledge of the fundraising and giving space
- Experience with crisis response

The hourly rate for this position is $30.00. As this is a hybrid position, the pay rate was determined by role, level, and possible location across the US. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
