The Role
THE ROLE: Policy Analyst
Britebound is a national nonprofit that is changing the way kids learn about careers and prepare for their futures through access to career-readiness information and experiences.
Britebound fulfills its mission through free digital-first direct experiences, philanthropy, advocacy, thought leadership, groundbreaking research, and impact investing. We believe that exploring career possibilities, as early as middle school, and providing access to education-to-career pathways aligned with one's passions and goals will result in greater confidence and long-term success for all students.
We are looking for a Policy Analyst to research, evaluate, and develop policy recommendations that support our organization's mission and strategic objectives.
What You'll Do:
  • Analyze and monitor legislation, regulations, policy and emerging trends to assess potential impacts, with particular focus on policy related to career experimentation and work-based learning (internships, apprenticeships, etc.).
  • Develop evidence-based policy recommendations and draft policy briefs, white papers, position statements, reports and presentations for leadership and external audiences.
  • Communicate complex policy issues in accessible language and present findings to stakeholders, including government officials, community groups, and the public.
  • Support advocacy efforts through testimony, briefings, and coalition building.
  • Collaborate with internal Britebound research staff and/or external third parties to conduct comprehensive research on policy issues using quantitative and qualitative methods.

About You:
  • 2-4 years of experience in education or labor policy analysis, research, or related field
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information, both verbally and in writing, and develop actionable insights
  • Knowledge of policy areas and education systems Britebound seeks to influence
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with policy analysis frameworks and methodologies

Salary Range: $77,000 - $100,000
Britebound is committed to fair and transparent pay. In determining compensation, we consider a variety of job-related factors, including prior experience, certifications and licenses, skills and expertise, geographic location, and internal equity.
We take a total compensation approach, meaning we look beyond salary alone to support, reward, and recognize the whole individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include a bonus, 403(b) retirement plan participation, generous paid time off, and comprehensive health and life insurance benefits. As a result, final offer amounts may vary from the salary range listed in the job posting.
