Assists and coordinates activities of pole mill. Engages in receiving, storing, and shipping material related to the operation of the pole mill. Ensures that the pole mill runs adequately and operates in a timely and accurate manner.
- Operates all equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
- Handle material safely to prevent damage and breakage to product.
- Grades all incoming products to ensure products meets company specifications
- Maintains records on procured wood products and pole mill production.
- Assists in weighing in/out bark wood trucks and calculates tonnage.
- Responsible for the white and bark wood procurement process including specification, quality control and problem analysis.
- Assists in processing receipts for raw materials via Lumber Track computer system for payment
- Conducts problem analysis in procurement, quality control function.
- Assists with random QC audits to assure quality workmanship in all work orders.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.
Candidate Qualifications/ Requirements
- Willing to be hands on with physical production
- Must be able to work in all outside weather conditions (wet, hot, cold)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Candidate Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic computer skills (scanning, emailing) preferred
