Job Description
Cyient Inc. currently has an opening for a Pole Line QC Specialist, responsible for Aerial/Pole Line work in Ontario. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, intelligent individuals with previous pole line engineering experience. Ideal candidates will have previous experience designing multiple OSP telecom projects simultaneously, Pole Make Ready, aerial assessment and underground projects, and be experienced with client software systems including SpidaCalc and Quick Pole.
Candidate must be able to self-manage their workload and work schedule.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree (preferred)
- Experience with Aerial Communications line & poles inspections or design. Using CSA 22.3 No. 1-20 Overhead Systems. and O.Reg. 22/04 guidelines.
- Experience with the following design programs: Quick Pole and SpidaCalc is strongly preferred. Auto CAD, Microsoft office, Adobe Pdf experience is a must.
- Should have strong understanding of Design and construction of Fiber Optic Cable (UG/Buried, Aerial), special permits (MTO, Conservation, railway, pipeline, water crossing etc.) and conduit design.
- Knowledge of Fiber backbone (F1) and distribution networks (F2) high level designs is strongly preferred.
