Primary Responsibilities
- Edit short-form video clips for social media postings
- Ideate content for the Isabel Brown show and related media
- Execute and manage show clip postings across all platforms
- Function as Show Producer of daily and weekly shows, social media videos, and media appearances -- from pre-production through post-production
- Maintain current programming and releases specific to Isabel Brown Show
- Provide suggestions for show guests based on current events
- Help maintain and develop strategies to improve performance
- Represent and advocate for the talent and for DW
- Consistently increase audience reach & engagement, work with other internal departments, such as Talent Management, Marketing, Ad Sales, Legal, Production, and Postproduction to fulfill deliverables and other obligations
- Manage scheduling and production sourcing
- Guide story coverage and determine the best way to cover stories, consistent with DW’s style guide and expectations
Experience & Requirements
- 2+ years of similar work experience in a professional production environment preferred
- Previous experience and proven track record in video and podcast production
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to appropriately take initiative
- Working knowledge of the current political landscape
- Avid follower of news, politics, and cultural commentary across all media platforms
- Resourceful with a high sense of urgency
- Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset and approach to work
- Able to navigate ambiguity, while exploring innovative solutions and driving business impact
- Familiar with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and AfterEffects
- Working knowledge of video and sound editing
