Responsibilities:
- Podcast Outreach & Placement: Research and evaluate podcast shows that align with client objectives and target audiences.
- Write and send personalized, persuasive pitches to podcast hosts and producers.
- Follow up with podcast contacts to maintain momentum and secure bookings
- Media List Management: Build and maintain an organized database of podcast contacts, including show details and booking preferences.
- Develop and update media profiles to guide pitch strategies.
- Interview Coordination & Support: Manage all logistics for podcast interviews, including scheduling, confirmations, and technical setup.
- Prepare briefing materials such as key talking points, host background, and show overviews.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor podcast placements and measure outcomes such as reach, engagement, and audience fit.
- Compile coverage and performance reports, providing insights and improvement recommendations.
- Administrative Tools & Documentation: Use scheduling and project management tools to organize outreach workflows and deadlines.
- Maintain clear records of pitch status, media contact history, and interview arrangements
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of the podcasting space: formats, genres, hosts, and audience behaviors.
- This role requires prior hands-on experience booking podcast guests; training-only or academic experience is not sufficient.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in PR, podcast guest booking, influencer outreach, or talent coordination.
- Proven ability to create compelling pitches tailored to media contacts.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote environment.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with podcast booking (agency, in-house, or freelance).
- Familiarity with project management tools like Airtable, Notion, Trello, or CRM platforms.
- Background in communications, journalism, marketing, or related fields.
- Comfortable analyzing media outcomes and optimizing outreach strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining media relationships.
