In this role, you will take ownership of project planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, risk and issue management, and end-to-end delivery. You will work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, subject matter experts and technical teams to translate business priorities into successful project outcomes. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract based in Darwin, NT.


RequirementsWhat You'll Do
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex business and technology projects from planning through to implementation.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones and delivery controls.
  • Lead project governance, reporting and assurance activities.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, actions and change requests.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, subject matter experts and delivery teams.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings and project governance forums.
  • Translate business requirements and priorities into clear project outcomes and delivery plans.
  • Provide strong leadership across multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders.
  • Support organisational change management and transformation activities associated with new technology capabilities.
  • Identify, analyse and manage complex business, regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Monitor project performance, budgets, timelines, resources and quality to ensure successful delivery.
  • Provide clear and concise project reporting to senior stakeholders and governance groups.
  • Lead the resolution of complex project risks, issues and competing priorities.
  • Ensure appropriate governance, probity and project controls are maintained throughout delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including plans, reports, registers and supporting artefacts.
  • Work collaboratively with technical teams to understand solution design, integration and implementation considerations.
  • Use tools such as Jira, SharePoint, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Office to manage and communicate project information.
What You'll Bring
  • 5–10 years of experience in formal Project Management roles.
  • Proven experience delivering complex business and technology projects from initiation through to implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, frameworks, planning and delivery controls.
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk and issue management, governance, reporting and project assurance.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across business, technical and vendor environments.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex risks, issues and competing priorities while maintaining delivery momentum.
  • Experience supporting organisational change and business transformation associated with technology implementations.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, probity and strategic planning.
  • Ability to analyse complex legislative, regulatory and business requirements and translate them into practical project outcomes.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, Jira and SharePoint, or the ability to quickly learn new tools.
  • Understanding of IT service management principles would be advantageous.
  • Experience working with technical teams across system analysis, solution design, integration and interfaces.
  • Experience within large, complex and high-profile ICT project or program environments is highly desirable.
  • Government or public-sector project experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical and analytical information in clear, meaningful language.
  • Highly organised, accountable and self-motivated, with a strong focus on delivery.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • A collaborative and respectful approach, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
