About the role 

An exciting opportunity has opened up as a Project Manager - Investment Management on our PMO team.

We are looking for a Project Manager with >8 years' experience in financial services/ technology solution implementation to manage a key technology  and operating model project for our Investment Management business.

In the role, the successful candidate will: 

The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader with a strong quality mindset, capable of taking ownership of testing across multiple initiatives while driving continuous improvement in quality practices. They will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). 

In the role, the successful candidate will: 

  • Provide strong project governance and accelerate progress in delivering on strategic objectives, aligning to the Tech and Data strategy
  • Plan and track multiple deliverables, including defining required resource and budget for delivery, and communication of progress through regular reporting to SteerCo and Value for Money Forum.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues to prevent or reduce impact on delivery within projects or through cross project / programme risks.
  • Engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
  • Enable operational efficiencies
  • Motivate, coach, and develop high performing teams.
  • Deliver project to time / cost / scope / highest quality in line with project management methodology.
  • Steer cross-functional teams, champion collaborative ways of working to meet deadlines.
  • Manage the vision, think strategically, plan and organise, execute with velocity

About you  

  • We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills: 
  • Technology solution implementation and embedding
  • Management of third-party vendors and ongoing collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Process improvement to provide efficiencies
  • Operating model design
  • Adept at stakeholder management across all levels of the organisation
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams
  • Dependency management
  • Benefits realisation
  • Strong track record of technology delivery
  • Experience working with Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Effective Change management skills and ability to drive adoption
  • Domain knowledge of Funds/ Investment Management , implementation of Performance Management and reporting systems beneficial

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in finance, business or related discipline, project management
  • One or more professional certifications or equivalent experience (preferably PMP,  Agile, etc.)
