About the Job

The PMO Officer is assigned to support the business in achieving its portfolio and project management objectives by collaborating closely with the Head of Customer Delivery - Levant. This role involves helping to define, implement, and continuously enhance project management processes, standards, and governance frameworks across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in establishing PMO practices and serving in a project management capacity, along with excellent communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and develop governance structures tailored to the business’s needs.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all phases of the project management lifecycle, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
  • Coordinate and organize project activities to meet deadlines and stay within budget.
  • Operate within the PMO framework, which includes Portfolio, Program, and Project Management Offices.
  • Monitor and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, work hours, and expenditures.
  • Facilitate and participate in stakeholder meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Document key decisions and action items, and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Prepare presentation materials and reports for project meetings and reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to project methodologies and maintain comprehensive documentation for each initiative.
  • Identify project risks and issues, and proactively recommend and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings when required, and distribute meeting minutes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a project calendar to track milestones, goals, and deliverables.
  • Execute project-related tasks as needed to support successful outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of project strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Project Management Expertise: Strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of project management, including strategic planning, risk mitigation, and change management.
  • Attention to Detail: Skilled at managing multiple project components with precision and accuracy.
  • Analytical Thinking: Proficient in critical thinking, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Leadership & Reliability: Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities; dependable and able to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; acts as a key liaison between project managers and teams to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experienced with project management software (e.g., CarrotCut) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); adaptable to various technology platforms.
  • Collaboration & Facilitation: Engages teams effectively through digital tools to streamline workflows, remove roadblocks, and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Process & Performance Focus: Committed to continuous improvement, performance management, and adherence to governance frameworks.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments and manages shifting priorities with ease.
  • Ability to manage change and drive continuous improvement.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel required for meetings, conferences, and training sessions.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education: 
    • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study.
    • PMP certification preferred; PMO experience preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Project Management and/or Payments industry.
  • Strong understanding of project management practice.
