PMO Manager
As a PMO Manager, you will be the engine room of our transformation office. You will provide insight and transparency across the portfolio, translating into actionable next steps to ensure delivery against the plan. You will be responsible for ensuring that our portfolio is prioritized for maximum value, risks are mitigated before they become issues, and delivery remains on track.
Core Responsibilities1. Transformation Insights & Executive Reporting- Data-Driven Storytelling: Transform complex project data into high-level executive reports that highlight progress, budget health, and strategic alignment.
- Actionable Analysis: Move beyond "red/amber/green" status updates to provide deep-dive insights that help leadership make informed decisions.
- Resource Optimization: Lead rigorous pipeline reviews with Initiative Owners (IOs) to ensure talent and capital are allocated to the highest-priority work.
- Portfolio Balance: Maintain a balanced mix of "run," "grow," and "transform" initiatives, ensuring the organization isn't over-leveraged in any one area.
- Quarterly/Half-Year Reviews: Lead formal performance audits for all initiatives scheduled for delivery, ensuring they meet strict quality and timeline standards.
- Bottleneck Identification: Proactively identify dependencies and friction points across workstreams, facilitating cross-functional solutions to keep delivery on pace.
- L2 Risk Orchestration: Own the Level 2 (L2) risk log, chairing monthly reviews to ensure every threat has a robust, proactive mitigation strategy.
- Escalation Management: Act as the primary filter for risk, escalating critical threats to senior leadership with clear recommendations for resolution.
- Methodology Champion: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for transformation best practices, coaching project leads on standardized methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate PMO processes and tools to drive efficiency, automation, and better user adoption across the business.
- Experience: 5+ years in a PMO or Project Management leadership role, ideally within a large-scale transformation environment.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the "big picture" while maintaining a rigorous eye for detail in risk logs and financial reports.
- Stakeholder Mastery: Proven ability to influence and challenge senior Initiative Owners and Executive stakeholders.
