About this Location:

This position is located at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Temecula CA. We are in the heart of Southern California’s beautiful Temecula Valley, known for its award-winning wineries, vibrant Old Town, and strong sense of community. Our hotel sits just minutes from shopping, dining, entertainment, and outdoor recreation, offering team members the perfect balance between work and lifestyle. Temecula provides 172 room suites that are welcoming, family-friendly environment with easy access to major freeways for easy commute.

Why do we need you?

To coordinate front office activities of hotel. Resolve problems arising from guests’ complaints, reservation, room assignment activities, and unusual requests and inquiries.

What you will do:

  1. Assigns duties and shifts to workers and observes performances to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.
  2. Confers and cooperates with other department heads to ensure coordination of hotel activities.
  3. Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services.
  4. Ensure smooth check-in/check-out experiences, guest interactions, and guests’ satisfaction.
  5. Work closely with the Maintenance and Housekeeping teams to communicate and coordinate the day.
  6. Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
  7. Arranges for private telephone line and other special services.
  8. May patrol public rooms, investigate disturbances, and warn troublemakers.
  9. May interview and hire applicants.
  10. May receive and process advance registration payments.
  11. May send out letters of confirmation or return checks when registration cannot be accepted.
  12. Required to be always in uniform when working on the property, including wearing a name identification badge.
  13. All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

  •  Read and interpret business records and statistical reports.
  •  Use mathematical skills to interpret financial information and prepare budgets.
  •  Analyze and interpret policies established by administrators.
  •  Understand the government regulations covering business operations.
  •  Make business decisions based on production reports and similar facts.
  •  Make business decisions based on your own experience and opinion. See differences in widths and lengths of lines such as those on graphs.
  •  Deal with the public, customers, employees, union and government officials with tact and courtesy.
  •  Plan and organize the work of others.
  •  Change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
  •  Speak and write clearly.
  •  Accept the full responsibility for managing an activity.

Physical Demands: Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.

Requirements

  •  High School completion or an equivalent level of education and experiences.
  •  1 years of previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferrable in the Front Office Department.

Skills Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably Front Office
  • Ability to read and interpret business records and statistical reports
  • Mathematical skills to interpret financial information and prepare budgets
  • Ability to analyze and interpret policies established by administrators
  • Knowledge of government regulations covering business operations
  • Strong interpersonal skills to deal with guests, employees, union and officials with tact
  • Ability to plan and organize the work of others
  • Ability to handle frequent change and interruptions
  • Clear spoken and written communication skills
  • Willingness to accept full responsibility for managing front office activities
  • Ability to perform light work, occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds; walk or stand frequently
  • Required to be in uniform and wear identification badge while on property
