PL/SQL Software Engineer

Our Tax Development Center team consists of multiple highly qualified Software Engineers and Business Analysts, closely working together on complex tax-related functionalities. Our products offer a range of features that assist banks and financial institutions across the globe in providing tax-compliance services for both local and global taxes.

Your key tasks

• Working with Oracle databases, PL/SQL development and Avaloq native scripting language (prior knowledge/experience not required)
• Demonstrating ownership and taking responsibility for your area of expertise
• Conducting analysis, designing, and developing new features within our team's scope of responsibility
• Identifying and resolving software defects, as well as improving and optimizing existing functionality
• Enhancing the quality of our functionality through automated testing and code reviews

• Excellent software engineering skills, with a deep understanding of software development processes and industry best practices. Familiarity with Oracle database architecture and PL/SQL
• Knowledge of Avaloq scripting, report writer and rules
• General Banking knowledge/experience and strong interest in finance
• A team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills in English to facilitate close collaboration with colleagues and clients worldwide

It would be a real bonus if you have

• Familiarity with International (FATCA, CRS, QI) and German Tax Related Topics or previous experience in tax or financial services 
• A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics Engineering or similar fields
• Avaloq Certified Customization Professionals (ACCP) Certification or Requirement Engineering certifications
• German language skills are a plus
