Key Job Elements
- Participate in advanced manufacturing automation projects to expand automated capabilities across production operations.
- Develop equipment solutions, including installation and programming of robots, to increase throughput and improve efficiency of existing high-volume production lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to design automated equipment supporting new product launches.
- Troubleshoot and repair existing manufacturing automation systems to maintain uninterrupted production schedules.
- Apply strong PLC programming, motion control, and automation knowledge to support both new and existing processes.
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a medium-volume manufacturing environment.
- High degree of Allen-Bradley PLC programming experience.
- Minimum 2 years motion-control experience, including FANUC or comparable robotic systems.
- Working understanding of mechanical automation components, including pneumatic cylinders, solenoid valves, and proximity sensors.
- Basic understanding of vision systems and visual inspection tools.
- General knowledge of electrical control panel layout and associated components.
