We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Platform Product Technical Leader to drive the technical development and strategic evolution of our platform products. This role is pivotal in ensuring the technical excellence, robustness, and market competitiveness of our solutions within the automotive electric and electronic systems domain.
What You’ll Do (The Mission)
As the Platform Product Technical Leader (PTL), you’ll be the bridge between advanced engineering, premium car manufacturers (OEMs), and mass production.
Architect the Future: Design modular, scalable high-voltage electric motor architectures (PMSM, 400V/800V configurations, advanced hairpins, and cooling loops).
Drive Next-Gen Thermal & Power Efficiency: Optimize advanced stator hairpin configurations, rotor dynamics, and cutting-edge cooling loops to squeeze every ounce of performance and range out of defined architectures.
Own the Tech: Lead engineering work packages from early-stage concepts and prototyping including milestone planning and resources.
Bridge the Gap Between Lab and Line: Work hand-in-hand with our advanced automated manufacturing teams to ensure your platform designs are perfectly optimized for high-volume, flawless assembly.
Win the Business: Be the technical face of Valeo during RFQ phases, transforming customer requirements into concrete, high-performance product specs.
Guard Product Robustness: Champion Valeo’s rigorous design and safety standards as specified in product development plan and within the agreed budget.
Connect the Dots: Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Project Management, and Industrialization teams to keep everyone aligned and moving fast.
Be an interface: Align with customer, advance engineering, system team or management on R&D subjects
Who You Are
The Background: You have completed your studies in Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive and experience leading technical projects in automotive / electric motors fields.
The Tech DNA: You know your way around electric machines, integration, material processing.
The Leader: You are open-minded, deeply curious, and great at problem-solving.
The Communicator: You love working across cultures and can confidently explain complex tech to both engineers and corporate executives. Fluent English is a must.
