As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will own the lifecycle, deployment, and uptime of our critical application environments. You will drive automation initiatives, spearhead performance tuning, and design robust CI/CD processes. We are looking for a cloud-certified technical leader with a strong coding background and 5+ years of experience who can translate complex business needs into elegant technical solutions while mentoring a growing team.
What you’ll do
Driving direction of a specific platform or application including creation of new environments, software upgrades, and tuning.
Driving the creation and amendment of automation scripts and supporting documentation.
Provide software deployment services for QA and production environments.
Direct application performance monitoring and tuning.
Be actively involved in protecting the uptime and performance of the application. Provide knowledge and expertise in the development and operational support and maintenance for a range of applications and tools.
Define the updates to the production environment.
Responsible for the installation, set up and support of third party software running on internal managed environments.
Designing and setting up deployment procedures, setting up robust processes, monitoring production systems and managing configuration.
Provide mentorship to junior team members.
Ability to understand complex business issues and identify technical solutions.
Communicate direction clearly to other members of the team.
What experience you need
BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent job experience required
Basic certification in key platform tool(s) and/or 5-7 years of relevant experience
Cloud Certification Strongly Preferred
