Recognised globally as a Best Place to Work, we’re a people-first company where long-term wins always matter more. As part of our team, you will shape the future of fintech with real technology, care, and purpose.

Why this role matters

As a Platform Engineer at Exness, you will join a team working with high-load, high-availability, and geo-spreading production systems. Your main goal is to provide the best possible experience for traders by contributing to various products and projects, adhering to best practices and standards. You will be responsible for supporting the internal Temporal.io platform provided to engineering teams and helping keep it reliable, scalable, and easy to use. Additionally, you will participate in managing and contributing to Streaming Data Platform at Exness (Kafka, Flink, Kafka Connect)

The role is based in our Limassol office, Cyprus. In case of relocation, we offer full relocation support for you and your family to make your move smooth and worry-free.

What you'll actually do
  • Support the internal Temporal.io platform provided to engineering teams and help keep it reliable, scalable, and easy to consume.
  • Contribute to upstream open-source projects (such as Temporal.io or related ecosystem tools) to advocate for internal requirements and improve community tooling
  • Maintain infrastructure definitions with Terraform and manage delivery workflows through GitLab CI/CD and ArgoCD using GitOps practices.
  • Automate routine operations and reduce manual toil using Golang and infrastructure tooling.
  • Improve monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility using Grafana, Alertmanager, and PagerDuty.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot production issues with internal users
  • Design and deploy new Kafka clusters based on business, SLA, durability, and availability requirements.
  • Operate and maintain high-throughput Kafka and Kafka Connect clusters on on-prem Kubernetes.
  • Maintain adjacent streaming platform components such as Flink and support their reliability and operability.
  • Plan and execute safe upgrades, broker replacements, storage migrations, and cluster rebalancing activities.
  • Manage cross-cluster replication and disaster recovery patterns using MirrorMaker 2.
  • Help design resilient multi-cluster and multi-data-center setups to reduce the impact of infrastructure failures.
Who we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Relevant certifications (Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Terraform Associate, or similar) are optional but beneficial.
  • 3+ years professional experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role, with hands-on experience in production environments. Proven track record working in high-scale product companies, ideally within fintech, trading platforms, or regulated digital services
  • Experience with Kubernetes (on-premises/self-hosted)
  • Experience with Helm (Helmfile would be a plus), ArgoCD, CI/CD such as Gitlab CI
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with a telemetry stack (Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, etc.).
  • Exposure to and working knowledge of Golang.
  • Nice to have: Production experience with Temporal.io or similar workflow orchestration engines (e.g., Cadence, Netflix Conductor, Camunda, Argo Workflows)
  • Nice to have: Demonstrated willingness or past history of contributing to open-source software.
  • Ability to work directly with product development teams and investigate user-reported issues.
  • Clear communication and strong technical judgment.
What we offer along the way
  • Competitive salary and annual performance bonus
  • Full relocation support for you and your family — flights, housing, visas, and legal assistance included
  • Top-tier health insurance with full family coverage — medical, dental, vision, mental health — plus life insurance for peace of mind
  • Unlimited learning opportunities: external courses, English lessons, career and leadership development
  • Education allowance covering school and kindergarten fees
  • 21 working days of annual leave, plus public holidays and fully paid sick, maternity, and paternity leave
  • Employee appreciation program: branded gifts, birthday day-offs, celebration budgets for weddings, newborns, and milestones
  • “Get to know Team” trips — meet colleagues across our global hubs, along with company-wide offsites that raise the bar
  • Employee share scheme — grow with us
  • Branded MINI Cooper Countryman company car and private parking
  • Free in-house sports clubs, Sanctum Club gym access, and jet skis
  • Access to a Corporate doctor
  • Exclusive discount program with cafes, gyms, and local services
