THE OPPORTUNITY:
A Platform Engineer that is focused on providing solutions and value using Splunk will....
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engineer Solutions: develop/mature platform capabilities and work closely with different personas related to applications and platforms - focused on engineering outcomes.
  • Identify new Splunk technology platform capabilities for best fit purpose, and outline options for cost effective, incremental, and resilient implementation approach.
  • Data architecture: Develop efficient data ingestion strategies, including data parsing, normalization, and enrichment. Design and optimize data models to support effective searching, reporting, and analysis.
  • Automation and scripting: Utilize Python scripting skills to automate data retrieval and enhance the efficiency of Splunk service consumption reporting.
  • Provide specialized knowledge and expertise in maximize the value of Splunk in the Takeda landscape.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with product/platform owners, application owners/SMEs, system administrators - to understand their requirements and provide effective Splunk solutions.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors' Degree, from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with Splunk and the premium products - ITSI.
  • Experience with Observability is a plus.
  • Critical thinking: able to look at events, performance metrics, trends - to develop health-rules / logic identifying performance and system degradations / business application issues.
  • Proficiency with basic data analysis, data correlation, data integration, data modelling, scripting, and core query languages.
  • Deep understanding of the Splunk family of solutions (ITSI, Observability) including the Splunk Processing Lanaguage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with multifunctional team.
  • Experience in communicating complex information in a clear and engaging manner, building a collaborative network of relationships in the business and externally.
