The Role

We’re seeking someone to join our CDRR Technology team as a Platform Engineering, in Non-Financial Risk Technology to work across development, operations, and support teams.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities.

This is Director position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Contribute to the function through complex project tasks and initiatives.- Interact regularly with team members and occasionally leadership on a range of topics.
  • Design, deploy, and operate containerized applications on Kubernetes.
  • Build, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines for platform and application teams.
  • Own and improve platform observability using metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerts.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, drive root cause analysis, and improve system availability.
  • Support web-based deployments, including APIs, backend services, and UI applications.
  • Work with application teams to onboard services with proper authentication and authorization (OAuth2, SSO, JWT).
  • Participate in system design, capacity planning, and performance tuning.- Ensure platform stability, scalability, and operational readiness.
  • Python & Automation Build Python-based automation to reduce manual operational work.  
  • Standardize and automate routine tasks using Python and/or Ansible. 
  • Develop scripts, tools, and services to support platform operations. 
  • Improve operational efficiency through reusable automation frameworks.
  • AI-Enabled Automation (Secondary / Enablement Only) Implement AI-assisted automation where appropriate (using existing models and tools). 
  • Integrate AI services into workflows to improve efficiency (e.g., intelligent triage, summarization, automation).
  • Apply basic prompt engineering and workflow orchestration for AI-enabled use cases. 
  • Ensure AI usage follows enterprise guardrails, logging, and human-in-the-loop controls.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
  • Ability to process information, translate into plans and present summaries to stakeholders.
  • Experienced understanding of business line and discipline.
  • Strong experience as a Platform / SRE / DevOps Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Strong Python skills for automation and tooling.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of Linux environments.
  • Experience with observability tools (metrics, logs, alerts).
  • Working knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Basic understanding of databases and SQL.
  • Production support experience in enterprise environments.
  • Exposure to AI / GenAI tools and AI-assisted automation.
  • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native concepts and services
  • Experience operating in regulated or large-scale enterprise platforms.
  • Strong in execution and operations, not experimental research.
  • Comfortable owning systems end-to-end in production.
  • Able to work across development, operations, and support teams
  • Focused on stability, scalability, and continuous improvement.
